Writer's Block: I can walk under ladders

Do you believe in luck? Do you think some people are luckier than others? Do actions cause reactions or are there intervening forces beyond our control that govern our destinies?

we make our own luck. actions definitely cause reactions.

Hmm, well I have always believed that 'superstitious' is the word for things like that, definitely walking under ladders, which I never do,
or putting new shoes on the table, haha, that was my Grandmothers worst supersitious belief and I like to think, because I didn't know her that well, I can carry it on. It gets to me, ya know? I grew up with it.

As for "luck", I don't believe in luck, as you say actions cause re-actions and I am inclined to believe that is true ..

i have a few superstitions too. i don't usually walk under ladders or put new shoes on the table. i've heard that too. but those things don't tend to happen.
i wouldn't worry too much if i did though. same with breaking a mirror or seeing a black cat.
the 2 superstitions i am big about are the white lighter superstition. those are supposed to be bad luck. i don't smoke cigarettes anymore though, so it's not as big a deal and leaving my hat on the bed. that is a soldier superstition... i don't have my soldier hat anymore and i try not to think about where it is now or if it is sitting on someone's bed...
