You know something weird? I just thought when I read your lj comment, 'I should text him and see if he wants to go bowling with us tonight'

And then I realised we've never met and you live in the US. and I don't have your mobile no. lol.

Thought that counts right?

lol. that's cool. if i were near you i'd definitely go bowling.
i have only been regular bowling once. in boston, most people do candlepin bowling. most people don't even know what that is. it is smaller balls, straight pins and you get 3 balls instead of 2. do you have that in australia? i hope you had fun. thanks for thinking of me (:

We don't have it here but I know what it is, it looks fun... but I don't think theres anywhere in Aus you can do it. I actually only know what it is because I saw some people on MTV doing it lol.

Yeah it was! The guy did tap dancing! The girl did ballet but she was TERRIBLE. I'd really like to visit the boston area, even though it's a very unusual accent to get used to. do you have an accent like that?

i had a "wicked strong" accent as a kid, but when i got into acting around age 12, i worked to lose my accent. for years i had none at all. i was actually very ashamed of it. now i wish i had kept the accent, because i seem like a snob to most people, speaking without one. i have tried to get it back, and i do a little bit, but it's not very strong at all.

I betya I could still hear it since I don't hear it all the time. ^_^ Australians from the country and NSW have alot stronger accents but I don't particularly like it, it makes them sound stupid. In Adelaide, I think the only accent parculiarity we have is cutting the middle syllable out of 3 syllable words...

Aust-ra-lia becomes Aust-raya
Ad-el-aide becomes Ad-laide
Prob-bab-ly becomes prob-bly
Bat-ter-ry becomes -bat-rie

It's something I make a conscious effort to avoid because it's dumb, if you wanna hear a prime example of an adelaidian accent... this is our channel 10 news presenter...

I picked this video because it's from my birthday in 2008
