politics

people at a salon in pennsylvania are having presidential cannidates portraits painted on their fingernails. the most popular choice at the salon is sarah palin.

people are having sarah palin painted on their fingernails.

also... did anyone see the footage of mccain at the rally where they were all yelling "terrorist!" and other name calling against Obama, and some lady was like "He's an Arab!" and McCain said "No he's not. He's a decent family man" which is of course kind of offensive toward Arabs... but what really disturbed me about the whole thing was that it was like he has created this army of hate towards Obama that somewhat resembles the Nazis and how that party was started. It was scary to see, but interesting to see how scared McCain looked of what he and his campain people had created.

yeah... and Sarah Palin fingernails... we live in a weird world.

Viewing it from Australia, we still get the picture, and its not good, hope Obama wins, he is probably the best of a weird bunch. Palin... well, not sure I could vote for a woman who happily slaughters animals. Suppose that's small stuff up to the way others behave and who they kill! Obama is seen even here as a bit of a 'spokesman' has the words but may not match with actions? Our polies are just as bad, all fat cats just having a good time with our money. Having been involved with small time politics (local) when my husband was on council I found out a lot! Even if you try to do the right thing, and really want to be totally honest with the people, you are prevented. Decisions are made by the 'faceless' ones, you just have no chance. They pound you into the ground, and do exactly what they always have. We did have some small victories. He got a bus to our local area, a road sealed, some housing approved, so he tried! So will watch with interest when the results come out for you.

thats cool that you were involved in politics. i have been to marches and rallies, but have never gotten too involved. it's a messy world with politics, but worth it to make a difference when you do.
i like Obama. i've been sort of dissapointed with his debates against mccain. i feel like he could have done a lot better, but i still like him and would like to see him win.
