Jefferson Airplane was a trippy band from the 60's & 70's that played at Woodstock and took lots of acid and made music about peace. Here is a sample of them performing White Rabbit and Somebody to Love.

In the 70's they became Jeferson Starship and then in the 80's they got a hit with this song that i always hated "We Built This City" and they were just called Starship. I heard this song on the radio today and actually listened to the lyrics, and i understood that how Jefferson Airplane felt about the 60's was very different than how they fel in the 80's. This song was like them saying "HEY! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? We thought we made a difference."
