Vegemite

Happy Birthday grx !!!!!
hope you have a wicked good day!

When i got back from Maine, i found an enveleope in my mailbox from austrailia. it had been opened in a corner and there was a weird messege. i have pictures but i think i left my cord in maine. my family is still there  though.
Anyway, it was mail from sahm3170 . She sent me some of that Vegemite stuff they eat... you know the song from the 80's..."down under" by men at work?

I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

So first of all, thank you Sahm, for the 2 tiny packets of vegemite for me
to taste test. (i'm glad they were tiny, heh heh. and i
should be sending your pacage out pretty soon but dont hold your breath.
i' m a slacker often)
This particular Vegemite was made by KRAFT,
and i've never had any other vegemite, and on a scale of one to ten,
i would say, if i had to guess what ass tasted like, i would have
dreamed up something similar to this. heh. wtf? you really eat this?
i'm kind of kidding. i have eaten worse things. and as strange as it sounds,
i keep dipping my triscuit in the stuff.
i havent tried it on toast yet though cuz yesterday my bread was blue,
so i had to get more bread. now i have more bread so i should
spread a lil vegemite on tast to see if its better than a tricuit...
its obviously not so bad that i refuse to try more of it.
but it is strange. it has the texture of smoothe penut butter,
but is a dark brown color, and kind of shiny like grease and smells like
a soy sauce mixed with a swamp.

today i went to the national heritage museum in lexington.
i took a few pictures to show you all, but like i said, i dont seem to
have the cord around. i'll post them when i get it back.

tonight i went with my ex to see Knocked Up. we had a nice time. we did not
fight. it was good to see her. i miss her beautiful smile
and twinkling eyes. it was nice to see her and get along. it hurts a little
right now, thinking about how much i really wanted to be
with her forever, but how we just really were not ready.
anyway, we had a nice time, although most of it was spent in the theatre,
and the movie out of 5 stars i would give 2.5 . i didnt think
it was that funny.

now i need to rehydrate and head to bed.
peace

I am Aussie as well ^-^
Try putting lots of margerine and only a thin layer of vegimite.
& I think 'Vegimite' is like a registered trademark of Kraft, only they make it
Like theres imitation suff called "Aussiemite" and "Promite" etc
YAY I CANT BELIEVE ALL THAT TYPING WAS ABOUT VEGIMITE

So happy you got your small parcel ... well it's an acquired taste .. it's just that us Aussies are brought up with it from birth - it's like law or something - you have to like it ... :P
